West Nashville Water Outage Continues

After 5 days of no water, residents on Beacon Drive are frustrated that their running water is nonexistent while neighbors down the street are watering their lawns.  I completed this story while working with Jennifer Reyes.

Residents Outraged after Meth Explosion causes Fire

If the apartment fire that destroyed their lives wasn’t enough, now the apartment complex is ignoring tenant’s request for a meeting to discuss future accommodations. Here’s a story I wrote and edited while tagging along with NewsChannel5 Reporter Chris Conte.

 

Dignitaries Honor the Life of John Seigenthaler

Newspaper giant, political adviser, and First Amendment advocate John Seigenthaler Sr. died peacefully on July 11, 2014.  Over 2 thousand mourners came to the Cathedral of the Incarnation to honor Seigenthaler’s life, among them were some notable dignitaries. Alongside WTVF reporter Mark Bellinger, we spoke to several representatives of the Kennedy family, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, former Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen, and U.S. Representative Jim Cooper, who were each impacted by Seigenthaler’s life and career.

Big Changes on Music Row

As Nashville continues to grow, so does Music Row.  But according to one local business owner, that growth comes with some major costs. I completed this package while spending the day with reporter Jennifer Reyes.

Church Destroyed by Fire Reopens

Members of Pewitt’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church watched in horror as their church burned to the ground 2 years ago. After a lot of hard work and fundraising, they now have a brand new building to worship in.  I wrote and edited this story while on assignment with reporter Chris Conte.

Dead Geese in Bellevue Cause Confusion

Roadkill can be common on Tennessee roads, but there’s nothing common about this sight.  Over a dozen dead geese were struck and killed off Highway 70.  Here’s a version of the story I did while accompanying reporter Chris Conte.
